Filleting a halibut doesn’t have to be difficult and you don’t need fancy tools.
That’s according to a recent video from Sheldon Marion, who calls himself “just an average guy that lives his life to the fullest in the outdoors and I want to be able to share some of what I do with everyone.”
We’ve featured him on the site before for a helpful video he made about catching, cleaning and cooking Rupert crab. His halibut video also has tons of good tips.
“You basically just need a simple fillet knife,” he says. Doing a good job on the filleting “makes bagging and transporting it home much easier,” Mario.
“Wow, the technique is great,” writes one commenter. “I learned a lot from this!”
