Earlier this year, Skeena Strong reported on a local Indigenous mom who was up for a B.C. Small Business Award for her company Jada Creations.
We couldn’t be happier that Jaimie Davis just won in the category of Best Solopreneur, which “recognizes outstanding individuals that have started and grown a solo business. They have demonstrated the unique skillset required to stay focused on their long-term goals, while juggling the day-to-day demands of running a successful company.”
To celebrate her achievement, Skeena River Media produced a short video about Davis and her work that is well worth checking out. “I create to celebrate my culture,” she says.
And once you’re done watching, be sure to head over to the website for Jada Creations, “an Indigenous owned and operated business specializing in authentic Indigenous wearable art.”
A big congrats to Davis for her achievement.
