Please people, consider the deer. That’s the latest advice from the B.C. Conservation Officer Service after a buck in central B.C. got tangled in Xmas lights over the weekend.
“It wasn’t all merry and bright for this mule deer buck in Invermere, which found itself caught up in Christmas lights. But don’t worry, Conservation Officers were able to safely sedate the animal and free it of its festive headwear,” the organization wrote in a Facebook post.
“It’s not uncommon for deer to get tangled up in netting, fencing or other objects,” it added. “To help avoid such seasonal snafus, please hang your lights high.”
Rudolph has plenty of places to be during the Xmas season, not tangled up in your front yard!
