The next time you see a Prince Rupert Fire vehicle off responding to a call, keep an ear out for perhaps the strains of ZZ Top’s classic rock hit Sharp Dressed Man, for the Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue Department is breaking in some new duds.
In a Facebook post, the PRFD said their new gear has been selected to meet the high level of job-specific needs for the local firefighters. “The new firefighting gear comes with a large list of comforts, innovation and increases our firefighters safety,” it wrote.
The line of response gear comes from Starfield and features “Polymer-coated aramid reinforcements on knees and cuffs for long-lasting wear.”
